Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Alfie Michaud
Netminder Alf Michaud played parts of two games for the Vancouver Canucks in 1999-00. He was a best known for his heroics in college and for being a solid minor leaguer.

Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, Michaud starred for the Lebret Eagles of the Saskatchewan Junior League before moving on to the University of Maine. He led the Hockey East conference in wins twice and was named the NCAA Championship tournament MVP in 1999 after helping the Black Bears win the title.

Michaud signed as a free agent with Vancouver and made a couple of appearances as a rookie while spending the majority of his rookie pro season with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch. He moved on to the IHL's Kansas City Blades the next year and hoped for one more chance to make it in the NHL.
