Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Kristian Kudroc
Kristian Kudroc was born May 21, 1981 in Michalovce, Czech Republic. The first round, 28th overall selection of the New York Islanders in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Kudroc honed his skills in Slovakia before opting to join the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts in 1999-2000.

A hulking defenceman, Kudroc played only one season with the Remparts before making his professional debut in 2000-01 with the Tampa Bay Lightning after he was traded by the Islanders. Upon being acquired by Tampa Bay, Kudroc split his first two professional season between the IHL's Detroit Vipers and Tampa Bay before joining the AHL's Springfield Falcons in 2001-02.

After stops in Tampa Bay and Springfield, Kudroc joined the AHL's Philadelphia Phantoms before making a return to Springfield in 2002-03. Upon his return, Kudroc went on to play a mere 35 games with the club, missing the majority of the season with injury.

In the summer of 2003, Kudroc signed as a free agent with the Florida Panthers and went on to spend the better part of the 2003-04 season with the club's AHL affiliate in San Antonio.

On the international stage, Kudroc was a member of Slovakia's World Junior Team in 2000.
