Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Darrel Scoville
Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Darrel Scoville excelled with the SJHL's Lebret Eagles before moving on to Merrimack College in the fall of 1995. In 1996 he was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team then signed as a free agent with Calgary after his junior year in 1998.

Over the course of three seasons, Scoville became a regular with the AHL's Saint John Flames while playing in a handful of games with Calgary during the 1999-00 season. After one more season in the Flames organization, Scoville signed as a free-agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the summer of 2001 and spent that season with the team's AHL affiliate in Syracuse before making his first appearance with Columbus the following year.

Injuries sidelined Scoville for the better part of the 2002-03 season. In 2003-04, Scoville returned Syracuse, while seeing limited action with the Columbus.
