Tomas Mojzis was born May 2, 1982 in Kolin, Czech Republic. The eighth round, 246th overall selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Mojzis honed his skills in the WHL as a member of the Moose Jaw Warriors and Seattle Thunderbirds.

A skilled defenseman with offensive capabilities, Mojzis went on to play three seasons in the WHL registering 142 points (42-100-142) before making his professional debut in 2003-04 with the AHL's Manitoba Moose.

For the better part of the next three seasons, Mojzis continued to hone his skills in the AHL while getting his first taste of the NHL game in 2005-06. He was dealt by the Canucks to the St. Louis Blues midway through his 2006 season in ended his year with the Blues' AHL affiliate in Peoria. The following season he saw limited action in the Blues line-up and again spent most of his time with the Peoria Rivermen.

After his stint with the Blues' Mojzis was signed as a free agent by Sibir in Russia.
