Cole Jarrett was born on January 4, 1983 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The 6th choice, 141st overall selection by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft spent four years with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League.
Jarrett's professional hockey career began when the New York Islanders signed the free agent winger in September of 2003. The Islanders assigned Jarrett to their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport at the start of the 2003-04 season. Jarrett was called up and appeared in his first NHL game Apr. 18 2006 vs. Philadelphia.
