Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Bryce Lampman
Bryce Lampman was born August 31, 1982 in Rochester, Minnesota. The fourth round, 113th overall selection of the New York Rangers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Lampman is a graduate of the USHL.

A solid defenseman, Lampman played three seasons in the USHL with stops in Rochester and Omaha before enrolling at the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the fall of 2001. Having led the Omaha to the 2001 USHL Championship, Lampman was looking to bring his success to Nebraska-Omaha. However, Lampman played only one season with the team before opting to join the WHLs Kamploops Blazers in the fall of 2002.

Lampman went on to play 29 games with Kamploops, before joining the AHLs Hartford Wolf Pack for the remainder of the 2002-03 season. In 2003-04, the Rochester, Minnesota native spent the majority of his season in Hartford before being recalled by the Rangers in the latter stages of the season and seeing action in eight games. Lampman would go on to spend the majority of three seasons with the Rangers' AHL affiliate in Hartford, missing a chunk of his 2005-06 season due to a shoulder injury. His time with the New York Rangers organization came to an end in July, 2007 as the club traded his rights to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Lampman's stint in Tampa was short lived however as the club opted to trade the defenseman to the Dallas Stars on November 19, 2007.

On the international stage, Lampman competed for Team USA at the 2002 World Junior Championships.
