Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Brett Skinner
Brett Skinner was born on June 28, 1983 in Brandon, Manitoba. As a member of the University of Denver Pioneers he was part of two NCAA national championship winning teams and was named an All-American in 2004-2005.

Following his collegiate career, he joined the Vancouver Canucks' AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, but was soon traded to the Anaheim Ducks. His time in the Ducks organization would be short lived however; he was traded to the Boston Bruins prior to the 2007-08 season.

In the summer of 2008, Skinner was again on the move, he signed on to join the New York Islanders, where he would make his NHL debut and play 11 games before again being traded, this time to the Atlanta Thrashers.

In the summer of 2009 Skinner was once again a free agent, this time signing with the Colorado Avalanche.
