Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Kevin Klein
Kevin Klein was born December 13, 1984 in Kitchener, Ontario. The second round, 37th overall selection of the Nashville Predators in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Klein is a graduate of the OHL's St. Michael's Majors and Guelph Storm.

A highly touted defenseman, Klein played four seasons in the OHL registering 120 points (25-95-120) while being voted the OHL Western Conference's best defensive defenseman in 2004, a Third Team All-Star in 2004 and a member of Canada's silver medal winning team at the 2004 World Junior Championships.

Following a solid junior career, Klein made his professional debut in 2004-05 with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals while playing a handful of games with the UHL's Rockford IceHogs. In 2005-06, Klein continued to hone his skills in the AHL and impressed the Predators brass enough to earn some playing time with the parent club.

Klein split the next few seasons between the Predators and their AHL affiliate in Milwaukee before the club re-signed him in the summer of 2008.

After spending parts of nine seasons in Nashville, Klein was traded to the New York Rangers for Michael Del Zotto.

In his first full season in New York, Klein would establish a new career high with 26 points, a total he would equal the following year. Upon completion of the 2016-17 season Klein signed as an unrestricted free agent with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland.
