Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Corey Crawford
Corey Crawford was born December 31, 1984 in Montreal, Quebec. The second round, 52nd overall selection of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Crawford honed his skills with the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats.

A solid netminder, Crawford played four seasons in Moncton registering a 97-68-18 record before making his professional debut with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals in 2005-06. Despite spending the majority of the season in the AHL, Crawford would go on to make his NHL debut that same season with the club which originally drafted him in the second round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

After spending some time with both the Rockford WildCats and the Blackhawks, Crawford would take over the mantle as the team's starting goalie in the 2013 lockout shortened year. He would help lead the team to their second Stanley Cup in four years in a six game victory over the Boston Bruins.

After being knocked out in the Western Conference Finals by the eventual Stanley Cup Champion, Los Angeles Kings in 2014, the Crawford would return to the Stanley Cup Final in 2015 with the Blackhawks where they would defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games. This would make two Stanley Cups in three years for Crawford.

Crawford would represent Canada at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. He made 19 of 20 stops in a 3-1 victory over Team Europe as Canada went undefeated in the tournament.
