Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Matt Zaba
Matt Zaba was born on July 14, 1983 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Originally selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the eighth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the goalkeeper never did suit up for the club and signed as a free agent with the New York Rangers in 2007.

He made his professional debut for the Charlotte Checkers in the ECHL in 2007 and spent time in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack before making his first NHL appearance on January 23, 2010, when he came on in relief of Rangers starting goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist, in a game against the Montreal Canadiens.
