Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Wade Dubielewicz
Wade Dubielewicz was born January 30, 1979 in Invermere, British Columbia. A free agent signing by the New York Islanders in the summer of 2003, Dubielewicz is a graduate of the University of Denver.

A diminutive goaltender, Dubielewicz played four years at the University of Denver compiling a 44-26-6 record before making his professional debut with the Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport Sound during the 2003-04 season. After spending the majority of the season in the AHL, and with injuries to the Islanders two netminders, Dubielewicz saw his first NHL action in the latter stages of the 2003-04, allowing no goals in 40 minutes of play and being named the game's first star.

In June of 2008, Dubielewicz joined Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League, though his stay in Russia would be short-lived. After just 21 games and being relegated to backup duty on most nights, Dubielewicz decided to rejoin the Islanders, signing a contract with the club on January 17, 2009. Unfortunately for Dubielewicz and the Islanders, the goaltender would need to clear waivers before joining the team and he was claimed by the Columbus Blue Jackets, with whom he would finish the 2008-09 season.

In July of 2009, as an unrestricted free agent, Dubielewicz would sign with the Minnesota Wild.
