Jeremy Yablonski was born March 21, 1980 in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. A graduate of the WHL, Yablonski played two seasons in the league with the Edmonton/Kootenay franchise before making his professional debut with the WCHL's Phoenix Mustangs in 2000-01.
A hard-nosed forward, Yablonski joined the WCHL's Idaho Steelheads in 2001-02 before splitting the following season with the ECHL's Peoria Rivermen, the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and the Worcester IceCats.
In the summer of 2003, the Worcester IceCats signed the Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan native to an AHL contract. Upon signing his contract, Yablonski went on to spend the better part of the season in Worcester while making his NHL debut with the parent club in St. Louis later that year, before being claimed by the Nashville Predators in January of 2004 and finishing the season with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals.
