Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Patrick Bordeleau
Patrick Bordeleau was born on March 23, 1986 in Montreal, Quebec. Bordeleau played his junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Val-d'Or Foreurs and was selected in the fourth round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild.

Unable to reach a deal with the Wild, Bordeleau turned professional during the 2007-08 season and signed a try-out with the Charlotte Checkers of the East Coast Hockey League. He appeared in 10 games for the club before moving on to a brief stint with the Wheeling Nailers and then finishing the year with the Pensacola Ice Pilots.

The following season (2008-09) was more of the same for Bordeleau. He began the year with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL before joining the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League where he appeared in just six games before being released. From there he re-joined the ECHL, this time the Florida Everblades. Soon after he inked a deal with the Springfield Falcons. He would appear in just four games for the Falcons before being returned to the Everblades. Bordeleau would receive two further shots at the AHL during the 2008-09 season, signing separate try-out contracts with the Milwaukee Admirals and the Lake Erie Monsters, but would finish the year with the Everblades. When all was said and done on the 2008-09 season Bordeleau had played for six different teams in two different leagues in one season.

In the 2009-10 season, Bordeleau signed an AHL contract to return to Lake Erie. The towering enforcer would appear in 60 games and record 106 penalty minutes. Bordeleau would continue with Lake Erie until finally receiving his first NHL shot during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season. He would appear in 46 games for the Colorado Avalanche, recording a pair of goals while providing the club with a physical presence.
