Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Andre Benoit
Andre Benoit was born on January 6, 1984 in St. Albert, Ontario. He played his junior hockey for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League and though undrafted, he signed on with the Hamilton Bulldogs, the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens in the summer of 2005, helping the club win the Calder Cup in 2007.

After spending two seasons playing overseas, Benoit re-signed with the Montreal Canadiens organization in 2009 and would once again join the Hamilton Bulldogs.

In the summer of 2010, Benoit was once again a free agent and this time signed on with the Ottawa Senators. He made his NHL debut for Ottawa on February 18, 2011 and would appear in an additional seven games for the club before being returned to the American Hockey League where he helped the Binghamton Senators to a Calder Cup title.
