Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mark Borowiecki
Mark Borowiecki was born on July 12, 1989 in Kanata, Ontario and in 2008, he became the first Ottawa native to be drafted by the Ottawa Senators when the club selected him in the fifth round of the NHL Entry Draft.

Following his three year collegiate career at Clarkson University, where he served as captain in his final season, Borowiecki joined the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League in the late stages of the 2010-11 season.

Borowiecki would spend the majority of the 2011-12 campaign in Binghamton where he would appear in 73 games for the club and provide a solid, physical presence on the back end. His strong play was rewarded in January 2012 when he received his first call-up to the NHL. He would join the Senators on a western road trip and appear in two games for the club before being returned to the AHL.
