Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- David Rundblad
David Rundblad was born on October 8, 1990 in Lycksele, Sweden. A standout in the Swedish Elite League, Rundblad was selected in the first round, 17th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues though he would never suit up for the club. His NHL rights were traded to the Ottawa Senators on June 25, 2010.

Rundblad's 50 points in 55 games during the 2010-11 season is one of the most prolific in Swedish Elite League history.

Rundblad attended his first Senators camp in 2011, and remained on the roster into the season. Rundblad made his NHL debut on October 11, 2011 against the Minnesota Wild.

On December 17, 2011, Rundblad was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes (along with a second round draft pick) for forward Kyle Turris.
