Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Lee Sweatt
Lee Sweatt was born on August 13, 1985 in Elburn, Illinois. A product of Colorado College, Sweatt was undrafted by an NHL club joined the San Antonio Rampage immediately following his collegiate career.

Unable to come to terms on a contract with a North American club, Sweatt took his talents on a European tour starting in 2007. His travels took him to Finland and the Austria, followed by a stop in Russia and another in Finland before he made his return. On May 31 2010, Sweatt signed as a free agent with the Vancouver Canucks and joined the clubs AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.

After recording 14 points in 41 AHL games, the Canucks recalled him on January 23, 2011. Sweatt scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game, a game-winner in the third period against goaltender Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators. After playing two more games with the Canucks, Sweatt suffered a broken foot as a result of blocked shot and would be sidelined for the remainder of the 2010-11 season.
