Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jarred Tinordi
Jarred Tinordi was born on February, 20th, 1992 in Burnsville, Minnesota. A product od the USNDP and the OHL, he was selected in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens.

Standing 6'6" and over 255 pounds, Tinordi is an imposing defender known for his rugged and steady play more so than his offensive prowess. In his first professional season (2012-13) spent predominantly at the American Hockey League level with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Tinordi would score just twice, but would establish himself as a stay at home defenceman who was strong in front of his own net and nasty in the corners.

On March 16th, 2013, Tinordi played his first NHL game, suited up for the Canadiens against the New Jersey Devils and notching his first assist in the process. He would go on to appear in eight games for the Habs towards the end of the 2012-13 season.

Tinordi comes by his hockey acumen naturally. His father, Mark, was also a towering, rugged, NHL defenceman who saw action in over 600 career games for the Rangers, North Stars, Stars and Capitals.

During the 2015-16 season, Tinordi was traded in a three-way deal that saw him end up with the Arizona Coyotes. Tinordi would spend the entire 2016-17 season with the Coyotes' AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners. In 64 games the big defenceman scored a goal and added 10 assists. As a free agent in the summer of 2017, Tinordi signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
