Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Radko Gudas
Radko Gudas was born on June 5, 1990 Kladno, Czech Republic. A gritty defender, he played his junior hockey for HC Berounsti Medvedi Beroun and HC Geus Okna Kladno in his homeland before joining the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League in 2009.

Gudas was selected in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He would join the club's AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, the following season. In 76 games for Norfolk he would record four goals and 13 assists to go along with 165 penalty minutes and a solid plus 15 rating.

Radko spent the entire 201112 season in the American Hockey League with the Admirals, helping the club to a record 28-game winning streak and the Calder Cup title as league champions.

Gudas would get his first taste of NHL action during the lockout shortened 2012-13 season. He would bring his physical style of play to the Lightning for 22 games, recording two goals and three assists, while racking up 38 minutes in penalties.

At the 2015 NHL trade deadline, Gudas was traded, along with a first and third round draft pick to the Philadelphia Flyers for Braydon Coburn.

On the international stage, Gudas has represented his native Czech Republic four times. This includes two appearances at the World Junior Championships (2009, 2010) and an appearance at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
