Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Taylor Fedun
Taylor Fedun was born on June 4, 1988 in Edmonton, Alberta. The undrafted defenseman played his junior in the AJHL before he continued his hockey career with the Princeton University Tigers of the NCAA.

In Fedunís four years in Princeton, he would be named to the All-ECAC Hockey Second team in 2010, named to the All-ECAC Hockey First team and an AHCA East Second-Team All-American in 2011. This was impressive enough that the Edmonton Oilers would sign him as a free agent upon graduating from Princeton.

In the pre-season of the 2011-12 season, Fedun was on the bubble of making the Oilersí opening night roster he we was checked into the boards on an icing call, fracturing his femur. This caused him to miss the entire 2011-12 season.

For the 2012-13 season, Fedun finally got a chance to play as a professional where he spent the entire season playing for the AHLís Oklahoma City Barons. The following season, he would begin the season with the Barons, however he would make his NHL debut on November 5, 2013 in a 4-3 overtime win over the Florida Panthers. In his four games with the Oilers that season he would score two goals.

With his contract expiring after the 2013-14 season, Fedun would sign a one year contract with the San Jose Sharks. He would only play seven games in San Jose, scoring four points with the rest of his season being played with the AHLís Worcester Sharks.

At the conclusion of the season, Fedun would sign another one year contract with the Vancouver Canucks for the 2015-16 season. Fedun would spend the season predominantly with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League and would find himself a free agent again in the summer of 2016. On July 1, he inked a deal with the Buffalo Sabres.
