Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Adam Clendening
Adam Clendening was born on October 26, 1992 in Niagara Falls, New York. The product of the Boston University Terriers was drafted in the second round, 36th overall, by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Clendening forfeited his NCAA rights after two seasons with the Terriers when he joined the Blackhawks organization. He was assigned to the AHLís Rockford IceHogs where he spent the majority of his first three seasons as a professional hockey player.

During the 2014-15 season, Clendening had his first chance in the NHL. On November 20, 2014, Clendening had his NHL debut in a 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames. On January 29, 2015, Clendening was traded to the Vancouver Canucks for Gustav Forsling.

In the summer of 2015, the Canucks traded Clendening, along with Nick Bonino and a second round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Brandon Sutter and a third round draft pick. Part way through the 2015-16 season, Clendening was traded once again, along with David Perron, to the Anaheim Ducks for Carl Hagelin.

On January 27, 2016, Clendening was on the move again. This time he was claimed off waivers by the Edmonton Oilers.

Clendening joined the New York Rangers to start the 2016-17 season. In 31 games for the club he scored twice and added nine assists. The following summer Clendening continued his nomadic ways, signing as a free agent with the Arizona Coyotes.

On the international stage, Clendening was part of gold medal-winning performances at the 2009 and 2010 IIHF World Under 18 Championships.
