Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Scott Harrington
Scott Harrington was born on March 10, 1993 in Kingston, Ontario. A solid defender for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League, Harrington was selected in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Harrington would make his professional debut for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League following the Knights' elimination from the OHL playoffs. He would suit up in a pair of playoff games for the club, scoring a goal.

The 2013-14 season would be Harrington's first full professional campaign. He would appear in 76 games for Wilkes-Barre, recording five goals and 19 assists. Harrington would spend the majority of the 2014-14 season in Wilkes-Barre as well, but he would also get his first taste of NHL action. He was recalled by Pittsburgh and would appear in ten games for the club.

On July 1, 2015, Harrington's time with the Penguins would come to an end. He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a multi-player deal for Phil Kessel.

Following an impressive training camp, Harrington cracked the Leafs opening night lineup for the 2015-16 season. He would go on to split time between the Leafs and their AHL affiliate during his first year in the organization.
