Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Michael Paliotta
Michael Paliotta was born on April 16, 1993 in Westport, Connecticut. A product of the United States National Development Team, he was selected in the third round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks.

The following year he would attend the University of Vermont where he would skate for the Catamounts. The big defenceman would spend four years in Vermont and would show improvement each season. Following his 2014-15 collegiate season, Paliotta would suit up for the Blackhawks in their final regular season game. He would remain and train with the club, though he would not dress for a single playoff game, as the Hawks captured their third Stanley Cup championship in six years.

On June 30, 2015 Paliotta's time in the Chicago organization would come to an end. He was traded along with Brandan Saad to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jeremy Morin, Marko Dano, Artem Anisimov, Corey Tropp and a fourth-round draft pick.
