Jordan Binnington was born on July 11, 1993, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He played junior hockey for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League where he was named Goaltender of the Year in 2013. Binnington was selected in the third round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the St.Louis Blues and would spend the majority of his first professional season with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
Binnington would join the Blues' AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves for the 2014–15 season. In 45 games foe the club be posted 25 wins and a goals-against-average of 2.35 to go along with a .916 save percentage.
On January 14, 2016, Binnington made his NHL debut, coming on in relief in a 4-1 St.Louis loss at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes.
