Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Turner Elson
Turner Elson was born on September 13, 1992 in New Westminster, British Columbia. A product of the Western Hockey League, he went undrafted by an NHL club and signed as a free agent with the Calgary Flames on September 22, 2011.

Elson spent the majority of his first four professional seasons in the American Hockey League with the Abbotsford Heat, Adirondack Flames and Stockton Heat. He made his NHL debut on April 9, 2016, in Calgary's final game of the season, a 21 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

On July 1, 2016, Elson signed a one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche. He would begin the season with the San Antonio Rampage, but his season was quickly derailed due to injuries. Elson would suit up in just 13 games for the club and in the summer of 2017, as a free agent once again, he signed with the Detroit Red Wings.
