Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Kevan Miller
Kevan Miller was born on November 15, 1987 in Los Angeles, California. The undrafted defenseman spent four years playing with the University of Vermont Catamounts of the NCAA, where he served as captain from 2009-2011.

Upon his graduation, Millerís strong play was rewarded where he was signed to an NHL entry level deal by the Boston Bruins in 2011. The Bruins assigned Miller to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, where he would play hockey for parts of the next four seasons.

During the 2013-14 NHL campaign, the Boston Bruins decided to give Miller a shot at the NHL level. On November 21, 2013, Miller made his NHL debut in a 3-2 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues. He would later score his first career NHL goal on December 8, 2013 in a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Millerís play would impress enough for him to play 47 games in Boston during the 2013-14 season. Miller was rewarded with a two year NHL contract extension on January 21, 2014.
