Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Cal Heeter
Cal Heeter was born on November 2, 1988 in St. Louis, Missouri. The undrafted goaltender spent two years playing in the NAHL before continuing his hockey career at Ohio State University to play for the Buckeyes in the NCAA.

After graduating from Ohio State, the Philadelphia Flyers decided to take a chance on him by giving him a NHL entry level deal in 2012. Heeter would spend the majority of the next two years splitting time between the Flyersí AHL affiliate the Adirondack Phantoms and the ECHLís Trenton Titans. Heeter would get his shot at the NHL when he made his debut on April 13, 2014 in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

When Heeterís contract with the Flyers was finished, he would join the Evansville Icemen for the 2014-15 season. After a brief stint where he tried out for the AHLís Toronto Marlies, Heeter would take his talents to Europe where he would play for the KHLís Medvescak Zagreb, and then later to Germany to play for the Hamburg Freezers.
