Hampus Lindholm was born on January 20, 1994 in Heisingborg, Sweden. The 6’2 defenseman was playing for Rögle BK of the Swedish junior leagues before he was drafted in the first round, 6th overall, by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Once drafted, Lindholm immediately came to North America where the Ducks would send him to their AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals for the 2012-13 season. After that Lindholm would make an immediate impact for the Ducks where he would score 30 and 34 points in his first two seasons in the NHL. He would score his first career NHL goal on November 6, 2013 in a 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.

On the international stage, Lindholm has represented Sweden once at the 2012 IIHF World Under 18 Championship. He would help Sweden to a Silver Medal while being named one of Sweden’s three most valuable players.

Lindholm would continue his progression during the 2015-16 season. In 80 games for the Ducks, the defender recorded a career-high 10 goals and added 18 assists.
