Nicolas Kerdiles was born on January 11, 1994 in Lewisville, Texas. A product of the USHL, he was selected in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks and would go on to attend the University of Wisconsin. In his first season with Wisconsin he help lead the club to the Broadmoor trophy as the WCHA playoff champions and was voted the tournamentís most valuable player.

Kerdiles made his professional debut for the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League during the 2013-14 season. He would go on to spend the better part of two seasons at the AHL level before getting his first taste of NHL action. On February 22, 2017 he suited up for the Ducks in a 5-3 victory over the Boston Bruins.
