Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Matt Lindblad
Matt Lindblad was born on March 23, 1990 in Evanston, Illinois. The 5’11 undrafted left winger played his junior in the USHL with the Chicago Steel and the Sioux Falls Stampede before deciding to continue his hockey career at Dartmouth College to play for the Big Green.

After three seasons playing in Darthmouth, the Boston Bruins were impressed enough with Lindblad that they signed him to an NHL entry level deal. Upon entering the Bruins’ organization, he would be assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. Lindblad would spend most of the 2013-14 season in Providence but Boston would give him a shot at the NHL level. On March 15, 2014, the Bruins recalled Lindblad where he made his NHL debut in a 5-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Lindblad would spend the majority of the following season in Providence, only getting a sniff on the NHL by playing in 4 games in his Bruins career. At the end of the season, Lindblad left the Bruins and signed a one year contract with the New York Rangers.
