Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Conor Allen
Conor Allen was born on January 31, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois. The undrafted defenseman played his junior hockey with the St. Louis Bandits of the USHL and the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL before deciding to continue his hockey career with the University of Massachusetts Amherst Minutemen of the NCAA.

Allen would play three years as a Minuteman where in his final year he would post 5 goals and 19 points in 33 games. This would garner enough NHL interest that the New York Rangers would sign Allen to an NHL entry level contract.

Upon joining the Rangersí organization, he would be assigned to their AHL affiliate the Hartford Wolf Pack. It didnít take long for the Rangers to give him a shot at the NHL level. Allen would make his NHL debut on December 29, 2013 in a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Allen would play three games in the NHL during the 2013-14 season before being sent down to Hartford.

The following season, Allen would only play four games in the NHL for the Rangers. However, with the Wolf Pack he scored 11 goals and 34 points, while amassing 113 penalty minutes in his 72 games. This gave him an opportunity as his contract expired to market himself to other teams where the Nashville Predators signed him to a one year contract for the 2015-16 season. After just 31 games with the Milwaukee Admirals, the Predators' AHL affiliate, Allen was traded to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Patrick Mullen. Allen played 17 games with the Sens's AHL affiliate in Binghamton before finding himself on the move again. He was traded to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Michael Keranen.
