Alexandre Carrier was born on October 8, 1996 in Quebec City, Quebec. A solid defenceman in the QMJHL, he was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators and would join the club’s AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, for the 2016-17 season.

In his first season in Milwaukee Carrier suited up in 72 games, scoring six times while adding 33 assists and earning a spot in the AHL All-Star Game. Carrier would also get his first glimpse of life in the NHL, suiting up in a pair of games for Nashville over the course of the 2016-17 campaign.
