Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Spencer Martin
Spencer Martin was born on June 8, 1995 in Oakville, Ontario. A product of the Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League, he was selected in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.

Martin would split time during his first professional season between the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL and the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. In 20 games for the Komets he recorded nine wins and in 18 games for the Rampage he notched seven.

The 2016-17 season would be spent predominantly in San Antonio, but Martin would also get his first taste of NHL action. He made his NHL debut on January 21 in an overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks and would start two more games before being returned to San Antonio.
