Juuse Saros was born on April 19, 1995. Born in Forssa, Finland, Saros grew up in Hämeenlinna and played first three professional seasons with hometown club, HPK of the Liiga. Saros was selected by the Nashville Predators in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Saros would make his North American debut in the American Hockey League for the Predators' affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals and would quickly emerge as one of the league's top goaltenders. In 38 games for Milwaukee he posted a 2.24 goals-against-average and a .920 save percentage. Saros also got his first taste of NHL action during the 2015-16 season, starting a single game against the Buffalo Sabres.
On December 30, 2016, Saros recorded his first career NHL shutout, making 25 saves against the St. Louis Blues.
