Patrick Brown was born on May 29, 1992 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He attended Boston College and served as team captain during his senior year. Though undrafted by an NHL club he signed a deal with the Carolina Hurricanes in April 12, 2014.

Though he would spend the majority of the 2014-15 season in the American Hockey League, Brown cracked the Hurricanes opening night lineup and would appear in seven games for the club.

The 2015-16 season would be a similar one for Brown. He would once again appear in seven games for the Hurricanes. This time however he recorded the first goal and first assist of his NHL career.

Patrick comes by his hockey acumen honestly. His father, Doug, played over 800 NHL games and won the Stanley Cup in 1997 and 1998 with the Detroit Red Wings.
