Lawson Crouse was born on June 23, 1997 in Mount Brydges, Ontario. A product of the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League, Crouse was selected in the first round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers. He would join the club’s AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates for the final two games of the 2015-16 season.

On August 25, 2016, Crouse’s time in the Panthers’ organization would come to an end. He was traded to the Arizona Coyotes along with Dave Bolland for a second round draft pick.

Crouse cracked the Coyotes’ lineup to start the 2016-17 season. He would go on to appear in 72 games for the club, scoring five times and adding seven assists.

On the international stage Crouse helped Canada to the gold medal at the 2015 World Junior Championship.
