Anthony Beauvillier was born on June 8, 1997 in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. A star for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he recorded a pair of 40-goal seasons, he was selected in the first round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders.

Beauvillier would crack the Islanders opening night lineup to begin the 2016-17 season. He would go on to see action in 66 games during his first professional season, scoring nine times and adding 15 assists for 24 points.
