NHL Full-Impact Hockey
You can feel what it’s like to face the best shooters the NHL has to offer, in this realistic life-size, live-action hockey experience. Suit up and play goal against video images of hockey superstars Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier, who fire foam pucks at full speed through a number of openings in a 9-by-12-foot video screen.

There are three levels of play rookie, professional, and all-star. In all three you control the outcome of the game by your ability to stop Gretzky and Messier from scoring. You encounter a wide variety of play combinations and shots to block and, at the end of each game, your statistics are displayed on a scoreboard.

Play Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Trivia
Beneath the octagonal scoreboard is a hockey trivia game so comprehensive it challenges the game's greatest fans. More than 5,000 trivia questions are randomly displayed
on the monitors. Visitors can select their favorite NHL team to participate in a countdown, clue-elimination format trivia challenge covering all aspects of the game, with primary focus on the NHL and the Hockey Hall of Fame's Honoured Members.
Display Cases
The Impact Zone includes a number of display cases that honour those hockey greats who have made significant contributions to the sport, both on and off the ice. The Gordie Howe,
Bobby Orr and
Maurice Richard exhibits immortalize three of the game's top
Referee's bell, circa 1920.
 | players through their own equipment and awards along with accompanying video monitors that give
fans a glimpse of their greatness. Displays also pay tribute to the greatest
coaches, defensemen and on-ice officials.
Many of the game's top performers played parts of their careers in the
World Hockey Association. A case devoted to this league features many game-used artifacts
and the Avco Cup Championship trophy. The North American Professional League exhibit
shows many well-known players on their way up to the NHL. It also celebrates the
popularity of hockey in a wide range of communities throughout North America.
The Legends of Hockey Showcases pay tribute to the brilliant careers of 22 hockey greats, vividly depicted via their own artifacts and accompanying graphics. Each case contains
a large reproduction from the Legends of Hockey Artwork Series.
The newest addition to the zone is the Card Exhibit, located near the far north
wall. On display are cards featuring the Induction class of 2001, notable
rookies, cards from the first unique O-Pee-Chee collection of 1969, as well as
an uncut sheet from the 1966-67 set featuring Bobby Orr 's rookie card.

IBM Information Network
In the Arena Zone, the overhead octagonal scoreboard includes monitors that
display data and interesting facts via the IBM Information Network, and combining
text, graphics, and animation. In addition to visitor information such as Group
Welcomes, General Bulletins, Schedules of Events, and Sponsor Billboards, there's
also interesting trivia and facts such as the NHL Record Book, This Day In
Hockey History, and Did You Know? factoids.
