The Collection
The Hockey Hall of Fame is the world's greatest hockey museum. Our mandate is to collect articles relating to the history of hockey in any medium, including equipment, memorabilia, regalia, photographs, graphics, documents, books, and periodicals. Our collection includes:

Resource Centre Collection: A comprehensive collection of periodicals, scrapbooks, hockey cards, schedules, ticket stubs, postcards, videos, audio tapes, league and team histories, reference materials, media guides, and publications.

Artifact Collection: A vast collection of thousands of rare and unique hockey-related artifacts that help create a comprehensive record of the game. From pucks denoting record-breaking milestones to hockey-related merchandise, from trophies to tie-pins, these artifacts not only pay tribute to hockey's greatest moments and legends, but also trace the game's evolution and our own history.

Photographic Collection: Thousands of high-quality hockey photographs and negatives, both today's action shots and yesterday's rare archival images, including original materials from leading hockey
photographers protected under Hockey Hall of Fame
copyright. We also house an extensive, easy-to-access collection of
individual photographic print files.
Computerized Collections Management
To classify, record and database its vast collection of artifacts, documents, and photos a state-of-the-art, computerized Collections Management System (CMS) centralizes information about the entire collection, with hundreds of keys for classifying objects and accessing cataloged information.
Donations to the Hockey Hall of Fame
We pride ourselves on having one of hockey's best collections of archives, resource material, and artifacts. This has only been accomplished with the help of players, families, teams, and the public.
