Dave Sandford has been a photographer with the HHOF since 1996. He has photographed all major events in the NHL such as all-star Weekend, HHOF Induction Ceremonies, NHL Awards Night, Stanley Cup Finals, NHL Entry Draft's and an average of eighty NHL games per season. He also has photographed other levels of hockey such as the American Hockey League, Canadian Hockey League, C.I.A.U. Hockey and Women's Hockey.
He has covered such events as the Top Prospect games since 1996, OHL all-star Games and University Cup Finals. In addition he has photographed artifacts, trophies and events at the HHOF for the HHOF Resource Centre. He has covered the grand opening of the New World of Hockey Zone, World Cup of Hockey press conference, HHOF Induction ceremonies and the Lester B. Pearson trophy presentation.
In a relatively short period of time, his work has become widely published and has appeared in magazines such as Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated Kids, The Hockey News and numerous other magazines and books.
Dave also does portrait sessions with various players and hockey personalities.
The HHOF regularly publishes his work in their brochures and internal publications. Many of Dave's photographs can also be found throughout the Hall Of fame.
Dave, as well as the Hockey Hall of Fame, has recently teamed up with the League's new photo agency, NHL Images.
