Red Berenson Red Berenson started his career with Montreal in 1961-62, but made his mark during the 70's as a member of the St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings. During that decade, "The Red Baron" appeared in four all-star games, served as captain for both organizations, and ranked 2nd on the Blues all-time list for goals and points at the time of his retirement in 1978.

Johnny Bucyk

Wayne Cashman Wayne Cashman manned the left wing on the stellar Espo Line that dominated the first half of the 1970s. The gritty forward embodied the "Big, Bad Bruins" image and helped lead the team to two Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972. Cashman earned a berth on the Second All-Star Team in 1974 after notching career highs in goals (30) and points (89). He served as Bruin captain for six seasons before retiring in 1983.
Gerry Cheevers

Gerry Cheevers tidbit - was quite a horseman during the 1970s. In fact he owned a horse, Royal Ski, who was a rated contender for the 1977 Kentucky Derby until it fell ill.
