Commemorative sterling silver lighter presented to Max Bentley prior to the 3rd annual NHL All-Star Game played on October 10, 1949.

The Famous Bentleys was published in 1947 and written by Walter R. Thurn. The purpose of the program was to draw attention to the various achievements of a world-famed hockey family.

Letter dated May 1, 1972 from New York Islanders GM Bill Torrey to Max Bentley regarding his interest in joining the organization.

On June 20, 1966 this letter was sent out to Max Bentley from R.W. Hewitson of the Hockey Hall of Fame informing him that at a recent meeting of the Selection Committee he was named as an Honoured Member of the Hockey Hall of Fame under the Player Category.
