On February 8, 1984, the Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs of the Montreal Canadiens, Jean Béliveau, sent this letter to Scotty Morrison, Chairman of the Hockey Hall of Fame, supporting Lionel Conacher's nomination for induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
