Bobby Hull Scores 51st Goal
March 12, 1966
On March 12, 1966, Bobby Hull scored his way into the history books with his 51st goal, the first man to pass the half century mark. Previously, Maurice Richard in 1944-45, and Bernie Geoffrion in 1960-61 had scored 50, as had Hull in '61-'62. The Golden Jet finished the year with 54 and won his second consecutive Hart Trophy.
Quotable:
"I moved the puck out front for the slap shot. I got it out too far and almost topped it, didn't get real good wood on the thing and it skidded away, skimming the ice. I watched it all the way into the corner of the net…I'll never forget the ovation."

The Blues' Red Berenson scores six goals on November 7, 1968 to fall one goal short of Joe Malone's all-time mark of 7, established in 1920. Berenson also hit the post twice that game.
