Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Linus Omark
Linus Omark made a splash in his very first NHL game. On December 10, 2010, following regulation play and overtime against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Edmonton Oilers forward was called on to participate in a shootout. Omark made a spin move and centre ice and slid the puck past the Lightning goaltender. The move drew the attention of the hockey world, with some believing it crossed a line and others thinking it was a great play.

Omark would go on to appear in 55 games for the Oilers in 2010-11, recording five goals and 27 points. At season's end he would join the Swedish national team for the World Hockey Championship, where he helped his country to the bronze medal.
