Louie Belpedio was born on May 14, 1996 in Skokie, Illinois. A product of the U.S.A National Team Development Program, he was selected in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild and would go on to attend Miami University for four years. Upon completion of his collegiate career, Belpedio joined the Wild’s AHL affiliate for 10 games during the latter stages of the 2017-18 season. He would also suit up in Minnesota’s final game of the NHL regular season, recording two assists in a 6-3 Wild victory.

On the international stage Belpedio helped the United States to the gold medal at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championship and the bronze at the 2016 World Junior Championship.
