Justin Kloos was born on November 30, 1993 in Lakeville, Minnesota. A product of the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, he would go on to attend the University of Minnesota for four seasons where he served as team captain in his final two years.

Following completion of his senior collegiate campaign, Kloos inked a deal with the Minnesota Wild and joined the club’s AHL affiliate for the final nine games of the 2016-17 season. Kloos spent the majority of the 2017-18 season in the AHL, appearing in 76 games for the Iowa Wild in which he scored 19 goals and added 31 assists. He also suited up in a single game for Minnesota, making his NHL debut on October 24, 2017 in a 1-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

On January 16, 2019, Kloos’ time in the Wild organization would come to an end. He was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Pontus Aberg.
