Thomas, Tim
Boston Bruins

Netminder Tim Thomas becomes the first Boston Bruin since Pete Peeters in 1983 to be named the NHL's top goalie and just the fourth in franchise history to win the award, joining Hall of Famers Frank Brimsek and Tiny Thompson. The 1st Team All-Star teamed with Manny Fernandez to backstop the Bruins to a league-low 190 goals against, winning the Jennings Trophy and leading the club to a first place finish in the Eastern Conference with 116 points; the third best total in franchise history. Thomas personally would post a career-high five shutouts and 36 wins, sixth best in the league, with an overall record of 36-11-7, while finishing first among all NHL goaltenders with a 2.10 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
